Gabrielle Curtin

Gabrielle Curtin has over 30 years executive experience navigating change and transformation, in heavily regulated industries during market restructuring including in energy, resources, aviation and health. Gabrielle joined Snowy Hydro Limited (SHL) in 2015 as Group Executive - Safety, People, Community & Services reporting to the CEO and MD. She is also an ex-officio member of two board committees. SHL is Australia’s leading renewable energy company, retailer and the company constructing the Snowy 2.0 and Hunter Power Station. SHL has an enterprise valuation in excess of $20 billion, a customer base of 1.5m customers, annual revenues over $2.6b and 2,300 employees. SHL is underpinning the decarbonisation of the National Electricity Market through significant dispatchable generation investment, most notably a ~$12 billion 2200 MW pumped hydro project. Gabrielle is accountable for all aspects of health, safety, people, culture, education, community engagement, facilities, logistics and fleet management. Prior to joining SHL, Gabrielle held several senior executive roles at Qantas including as Executive Manager People, Qantas Domestic and Organisation Development over a nine-year period. Before Qantas, Gabrielle ran Radiology Resources for I-MED Radiology Network when it was in StartUp mode. Earlier employment included working with Accenture, Repco Automotive and Shell Australia. Additionally Gabrielle is the ACT Co-Chapter Lead of the Minerva Network and Scholarship Committee member. She has also contributed significantly to girls’ education, health and development through previous non-executive directorships on Headspace, Qantas Foundation, Girl Guides and as the Chair of Frensham Schools and Country Universities Centre.
