Helen Graney
After studying at the Sorbonne and the University of London, I settled in Sydney in 1995. By 1999 I had started a career with Interpublic Group (IPG) – a global publicly listed marketing and communications holding company. Working my way to the leadership role at Jack Morton in 2009 where I delivered significant projects such as the Opening & Closing Ceremonies and the Cultural Festival of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, after which I became Group Managing Director when I added leadership of Weber Shandwick to my remit. Within this time I was shortlisted for CEO of the Year and Women in Media, won Campaign Agency of the Year two years in succession, PRCA Workplace Champions and Best Virtual Event Globally in the midst of COVID. In 2021, I acquired the majority ownership of both agencies. In spite of the uncertainty, I saw the opportunity to create a new and exciting agency model and to influence the shape of the industry in Australia. I work tirelessly to advance the industry and to play an active role in the community. I am a founding Board Member of PRCA, the Chair of Global Women in PR Australia and I use my profile to contribute to important industry conversations. A resilient leader with an ability to navigate change. I build and galvanise teams and have a passion for diversity within the business. I operate from a position of trust, empowering my people to influence both the work and the culture of the agency.
