Helen Nott FAICD

Helen is an experienced Board Committee Chair and Non-Executive Director, having had an extensive executive career in corporate strategy.

Helen brings deep and highly valuable insights to boards in sectors progressing the health, wealth and care economies. She works with purposeful companies that are leading in customer-focused innovation, facing change and building resilience.

Helen’s current boards include Australian Unity Ltd (ASX:AYU) and various subsidies; QBE’s Australia Pacific portfolio of companies (QIA, QBE LMI); and the New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). She is currently Chair of the Board Audit Committee at QBE AusPac and Australian Unity, including a number of their subsidiary boards.

Helen was previously Vice-President and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for Paralympics Australia Ltd, a director of QBE Life (Australia) and Healthdirect Australia.

Helen has extensive experience within the insurance industry, holding a number of senior roles with Insurance Australia Group and QBE Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this Helen held roles with Booz Allen Hamilton (now PwC Strategy&), PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance and with CSIRO Mathematics and Information Sciences (now Data 61). She part of the foundation team for Murdoch University’s School of Engineering.

Helen has a PhD in Engineering (Murdoch) focused on using data and analytics for optimal decision making in the agriculture industry. She also has a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) with Honours I from University of Queensland.

She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
