I am a nursing professional and entrepreneur. I established Affinity Nursing Recruitment (“Affinity”) in 2003 to support the public health nursing sector in regional, remote and very remote communities. I have proceeded to significantly grow the business into one of the leading labour hire and workforce management groups in Australia. In 2006 I was awarded my first state-wide contact with the Northern Territory Health Department. Since that time, Affinity has been awarded and retained contracts with the Health Departments in Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Tasmania and has Service Level Agreements in Victoria, South Australia and the ACT. I have purposefully moved into new and adjacent services that enhanced our platform business, and we now operate under the Affinity Healthcare Group. I have extensive experience in growing business organically, governance of change and have strengths in strategy and operational excellence. I am passionate about enabling women to become effective leaders and to develop a sense of purpose by pursuing goals that align with their personal values and advance the collective good. This allows them to look beyond the status quo to what is possible and gives them a compelling reason to take action despite personal fears and insecurities. I believe this creates leaders that are seen as authentic and trustworthy because they are willing to take risks in the service of shared goals. They inspire commitment and boost resolve.
