Jacqueline O’Dea
Jacqui O’Dea is currently the Chief Risk Officer at The GPT Group, reporting directly to Bob Johnston, the Group’s Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Jacqui has responsibility for Risk, Internal Audit, Sustainability and Safety. She is also a member of the Group’s Leadership Team and sits on GPT’s Investment Committee.
Jacqui was appointed to the Chief Risk Officer role in March 2019. Prior to that, she was GPT’s Deputy General Counsel and Company Secretary for the GPT Wholesale Funds business.
Jacqui has been in the commercial property industry for over 25 years and has extensive experience in all aspects of legal, governance and risk management. Over recent years, Jacqui has deepened her skills in social and environmental sustainability and has been instrumental in driving a strong environmental, sustainability and governance (ESG) agenda at GPT.
In addition to her current role, Jacqui chairs the Property Council of Australia Chief Risk Officer Roundtable. She served for 5 years as a director on the Board of a not-for-profit entity, The Gidget Foundation, and for another 5 years on the Board of a NSW Government entity, Reflections Holiday Parks.
Jacqui lives in Sydney with her husband and 4 sons. She is an avid reader, enjoys cooking and travelling, and is fluent in the French language.
