Jan McCahey

Jan McCahey is the Global Regulatory Leader for the PwC network. In this role, she leads the network's research, thought leadership and community engagement activities on regulatory matters. She works with leaders in government, regulatory agencies and groups representing the accounting profession on matters relating to regulation and public policy. Jan is Chairman of the Global Public Policy Committee - a global forum of the six largest international accounting networks: BDO, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KPMG and PwC. Prior to joining PwC, Jan was the Chief Accountant at the Australian Securities and Investments Committee. Jan is also a member of the European Contact Group which provides a forum for debate and dialogue between academics, members of the European Institutions and practitioners. Jan is active in the community as a Board member of the General Sir John Monash Foundation. Before relocating to London, Jan held a number of influential positions in Australia including: Member of PwC Australia's Governance Board, Leader of PwC Australia's Capital Market and Advisory Services, Chair of the Advisory Board for the Centre for Accounting and Industry Partnerships at the University of Melbourne, Director of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation and a Member of the Australian Public Policy Committee.
