Jan Swinhoe
Jan Swinhoe is an Associate of the Actuaries Institute and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours in Pure Mathematics), a Diploma in Applied Psychology and is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors. She has held senior executive roles in the financial services sector for over thirty years. Specifically, Jan’s experience spanned large corporate superannuation and insurance (AMP and Mercantile Mutual Life), investments and structured finance (Citibank and County NatWest Ltd), wealth management and both Private and Institutional Banking (at Westpac and BT). Her sixteen years at Westpac concluded at the end of 2010 with the position of General Manager, Westpac Private Bank. Since 2011 she commenced her non-executive career. Jan’s passions include quality of life for all Australians through their life journey, financial literacy and fitness and wellness for all. Her appointment as the first female President of Athletics Australia in 125 years has only served to highlight the positive contribution that participation in sport for life can make.
