Janet Muir

Janet Muir is the CEO of RSL LifeCare, a leading aged care, retirement living and veteran support services organisation across NSW and the ACT. Janet leads over 3,800 employees providing services to more than 9,500 people. RSL LifeCare’s footprint stretches across 60 sites, including 27 retirement villages, 29 residential care facilities and 4 Veteran and Family Hubs, with an additional 5 hubs under construction. Janet has worked in tertiary health for almost twenty years, most recently as the Managing Director of Audika Australia and New Zealand in the hearing care sector. Janet is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Janet also sits on the Human Services Skills Organisation board as a Non-Executive Director. Janet's career has been a journey of understanding human services and health care from numerous perspectives, including finance, strategy, operations, and management. The depth and breadth of her experience have given her considerable insights into the opportunities for integrated and holistic care, instilling confidence in her leadership. She has dedicated herself to listening closely to the voice of the customer and leading transformations that harness collaboration and innovation to respond effectively to customer needs. Janet's mission is to use her privilege as leader of RSL LifeCare to unleash her people's potential and empower them to deliver a sustainable and successful business, vibrant communities, and exceptional customer care.
