Jayne Whitney
Jayne Whitney is a champion of women in the construction and infrastructure industry.
As Chief Strategy Officer of John Holland, Jayne mentors women at various stages of their careers to lead with purpose, and is involved in industry-wide reforms to shift culture and increase the representation of women in construction.
Jayne has an extensive executive career, and has been instrumental in the growth, development, and sustainability of some of Australia’s leading engineering firms, including John Holland, UGL, Tenix and AGL.
In her role at John Holland, she is responsible for business leadership, long term strategy and business growth, digital transformation, business improvement and corporate affairs. As part of her role, she has succeeded in driving increased flexibility within the organisation, creating leadership and development pathways for women to succeed, and has played a key part in making gender parity a focus for the executive.
Working across the utilities and infrastructure sectors, she is experienced in business transformation, resetting strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and organisational culture.
Jayne is also a Non Executive Director of the Australian Contractors Association (ACA), and on the Women’s Infrastructure Network (WIN) Steering Committee.
