Jerril Rechter AM FAICD
I am a respected Board Director and Chief Executive with 30 years of leadership experience across public, not-for-profit, and corporate sectors, with high-level leadership in media, entertainment, sports, health, and the arts. My career has focused on governing complex, purpose-driven organisations in competitive environments, driving transformational change that fosters societal and cultural progress. In my roles as Board Director and CEO, I have built high-performing organisations and strategies that prioritise sector transformation. My credentials include serving as Vice President and Board Director of the Western Bulldogs Football Club, Chair of the Stephanie Lake Company, and Board Director of IPC Health and the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation. I was also the CEO of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), Basketball Australia, and Vice President of Business Development at The Walt Disney Company for ANZ. I have represented local, national, and international boards and advisory committees, including as a WHO Adviser and Chair of international health and sports initiatives. Additionally, I mentor women across sectors, formally through the Minerva Network and informally for past employees and emerging female leaders. These contributions have shaped new visions for significant organisations in health, sport, and community sectors while fostering the development of women at various stages of their careers. I have been honoured as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for my service to community health, sports administration, and the arts. I am also a Fellow of the AICD and a recipient of various accolades, including the Victorian Telstra Women’s Business Awards.
