Jessamy Walpole

Jess is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Macquarie Capital in APAC and Global Head of Central Operations. She is a member of Macquarie Capital’s Global Management Committee and a member of Macquarie Group’s Global COO Committee. With a career in investment banking spanning over two decades at Macquarie, Jess has worked in transaction roles advising clients on M&A and capital markets activity and in more internally focused roles across Human Resources and COO functions. In her current role as APAC COO, Jess is responsible for managing the internal operations of one of Australia’s largest corporate advisory and capital markets franchises, and in her role as Global Head of Central Operations she oversees ~100 staff supporting Macquarie Capital’s global business. Jess is a trusted and respected senior colleague who is known for her commercial judgment, strategic thinking and capacity to foster collaboration. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, skiing, learning Italian and spending time with her husband and 3 boys. As a proud Tasmanian she is also an active supporter of the Tasmanian Land Conversancy.
