Jillian Segal AO

Jillian is a professional company director with a legal and regulatory background and private and public sector experience. Currently, she is a director of Rabobank Australia Limited, Rabobank New Zealand Limited and Rabo Australia Limited. She is Chair of the General Sir John Monash Foundation, Chair of the Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce (NSW), Chair of the Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA). Jillian is on the board of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and is a director of the Grattan Institute. Previously she was a director of ASX Ltd and National Australia Bank Ltd, trustee of the Sydney Opera House, Deputy Chancellor of UNSW and a member of the federal government's Remuneration Tribunal. Jillian was a Commissioner and later Deputy Chair at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) from 1997 to 2002. At ASIC, Jillian chaired both the Regulatory Policy Group, which developed new policy on current business issues, and the Corporate Governance Roundtable, the precursor to the ASX Corporate Governance Council.
