Jody Burton
Jody Burton joined Deloitte Australia in 1993. She is currently Chief Risk and Reputation Officer, reporting to the CEO. Jody was previously Managing Partner (South Australia), Lead Audit and Advisory Partner (Adelaide), Lead Client Service Partner - National Implementation, and Leader, Deloitte Audit. In 2003 Deloitte initiated a Businesswoman of the Year program to recognise the achievements of its outstanding women. Jody was awarded the Deloitte Businesswoman of the Year in 2005 and has presented at various events and conferences on the subject of the Deloitte Inspiring Women program. She is a member of the Inspiring Women Group for the national practice actively promoting and developing the talent pipeline and mentors a number of individuals across Australia through the Mentoring@Deloitte program. Jody develops strategies to protect and strengthen the firm's brand, reputation and risk profile in Australia. Her experience includes 10 years in Sydney providing audit services to the 100 largest public listed companies in Australia. She has been Audit Leader to a number of regional practices of the firm including Darwin and East Timor and has worked in the United Kingdom, Canada and Papua New Guinea. Jody is a graduate of Flinders University with a Bachelor of Economics, (Accounting and Finance) Degree.
