Julie McKay

Julie leads PwC’s internal diversity, inclusion and wellbeing transformation as well as supporting leaders across all industries to adopt inclusive practices which realise the benefits of D&I for
their organisations. Julie’s experience of leading the change within PwC at the same time as advising clients is unique in a market where it is often easy to give advice, but delivering meaningful
change is complex. Julie specialises in influencing cultural change in male dominated, hierarchical organisations, however she has experience across all industries. She coaches some of
Australia’s most senior business leaders in all aspects of D&I, with a focus on building self awareness about the impact of leadership behaviour in team environments.
Prior to joining PwC in 2017, Julie spent 9 years as the Executive Director of UN Women Australia and nearly 5 years as the Gender Advisor to the Chief of the Australian Defence Force. Julie
has represented UN Women Australia and the Australian Government at numerous United Nations Conferences and UN Missions and has a detailed understanding of policy responses and
best practice regarding equality and inclusion.
