Karen Stocks

As the inaugural Managing Director of Twitter's presence in Australia, Karen Stocks was responsible for all aspects of the business and she spearheaded the growth of the local team in its first three years of operation. Prior to this role Karen was Director, New Products and Solutions at Google Australia Pty Ltd and Head of Media Solutions at You Tube and Display. Previously she held various senior roles over 12 years at Vodafone Australia Pty Ltd. Karen has been outspoken on the need for, and benefits of, including women in corporate decision making. She regularly incorporates themes of gender equality in her public comments, and by pursuing opportunities to speak in male dominated industries she normalises women occupying executive positions. Karen has an MBA from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England. She is a Certified Practising Accountant and is on the Board of Netball Australia.
