Karina Collins

I was born and raised in Country NSW in Parkes.
I attended Parkes Primary School, and later Parkes High School and boarded in my senior years at Kinross Wolaroi School, returning to Parkes High School to complete my senior years of school.
I was heavily involved in sports throughout my early years, representing at State level for netball and swimming
On completion of my schooling, I initially moved to Canberra where I studied Graphic Design at University of Canberra, and later moved to Bathurst where I studies business at Charles Sturt University.
Following university, I relocated to Sydney where I commenced a career in Accounting, initially with a mid-tier practice. I then transitioned to build a career in technology consulting, initially with technology companies and then with Ernst & Young in early 2000. Since then, I have evolved my career to focus on technology, digital, data and organisation strategy – which has provided me the opportunity to hold various roles across Deloitte, BDO and now KPMG.
I have also had the opportunity to start up and operate small businesses.
I met my now husband in my late twenties and had my first child, Elizabeth in 2004. Soon after that we relocated from Sydney to Brisbane and had our second child Max in 2006.
I have and continue to be involved in community, holding several leadership and coaching roles in local sporting clubs. I still play netball and contribute to the development of the club and players.
