Kat Hartmann is the Managing Director of Digital & Customer Experience at ANZ and, as a member of the Commercial Leadership Team, leads the digital business for Commercial Australia. Kat has a rich background in leveraging digital technologies to enhance customer experiences, with a track record of driving measurable business outcomes. She has a diverse career that began in digital journalism, writing for online publications at Ninemsn, The Australian and Time Out Sydney. Kat’s career spans various industries, including media, retail, airlines, and now banking. She has worked with top organisations such as ANZ, Woolworths, Qantas, and CHOICE, championing customer experience and commercial outcomes through data-driven digital platforms. Kat emphasizes the importance of listening actively to customers, being curious, and continuously questioning how to improve the customer experience. Since joining ANZ in January 2024, Kat’s focus has been on creating a clear pathway to the “bank of the future” via the Commercial Digital strategy. This strategy sees her team adapting and innovating ANZ’s digital offerings to meet the changing needs of small-to-medium business customers.
