Katherine Grace
Katherine is the General Counsel and Company Secretary for Stockland Group, a top 50 ASX listed entity with assets valued at approximately $14 billion. She is also a member of the Stockland Executive Committee with responsibility for legal and company secretariat, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is a Director of the Stockland CARE Foundation. Katherine has over 15 years' experience in corporate, property, debt and capital markets transactions. Prior to her appointment at Stockland, Katherine was the General Counsel and Company Secretary with Westfield Retail Trust. In 2014, she was a key member of the negotiation team responsible for implementing the $29 billion Westfield Group restructure. Katherine has also previously held roles as the General Counsel and Company Secretary with Valad Property Group and Legal Counsel - Finance at Multiplex Limited as well as acting in private practice in the areas of construction, finance and major projects. Katherine has advised boards on a range of complex and challenging issues, including corporate takeovers, related party conflicts, mergers and management buyouts. Her expertise includes stakeholder management, the oversight and coordination of large transaction teams, crisis management and organisational change. Katherine is a role model for women in business. She is known as a supportive leader and generous mentor to professional women, not only within the Stockland Group but across the property industry.
