Members Directory
CEW members are leaders across diverse sectors in Australia, including government, business, sport, academia, the arts, and the not-for-profit sector.
Our members share a unifying goal: to remove systemic barriers and create pipelines that enable Australian women to rise to leadership positions in their communities. This ensures a diversity of women's voices at every decision-making table while supporting both women and men to thrive—at work and home.
Kelly Power
I am a passionate supporter of improving outcomes for Women both in the broader community through the work I do in the superannuation sector, and in my own organization by leading from the front around gender equality, talent development and supporting diversity and inclusion.
I started my career as an intern at the St James Ethics Centre, which developed my already strong sense of justice and equity. I have progressed through various marketing and business roles in the superannuation and banking sector to my current role as CEO of Superannuation at Colonial First State (CFS). CFS is the largest payer of pensions in Australia outside of the Government and is committed to supporting our almost 1 million members to live a happy and thriving retirement.
I am a Director on the Trustee Board for Colonial First State and the Board of the Association of Superannuation Funds (ASFA). These Boards keep the priority of improving outcomes for women, particularly those who are retiring with up to 35% less than men, as a critical area of focus. I have advocated actively to address this inequity with some success as a group of strong women who advocated to remove the threshold for when Super contributions would be paid in 2021. I have had articles published on this important topic in yahoo finance, the Australian and the Australian Financial Review.
Throughout my career I have had the benefit of strong sponsorship from incredible women, and I am committed to doing the same for the amazing women who I have the privilege of working with every day. I am unwavering in this commitment. I actively promote and support diversity outcomes within my organisation as the chair of the LGBTIQA+ council within CFS. I mentor several female executives and participate in and support Financial Executive Women programs.
I have 3 daughters who I am proud to say will live in a better, fairer, more equitable world because of the work companies like CEW do every day. It would be a privilege to join CEW and thank you for considering my application.
