Laura Malcolm

Laura is a visionary business and technology leader with experience gained in large consulting and technology organisations across Australia, APAC, UK and EMEA. Having performed a wide variety of leadership, sales, pre-sales, consulting, strategy and transformation roles, Laura brings deep technology and consulting expertise, spanning many industry sectors and markets. She is passionate about building client-centric, talented and inclusive teams, with a strong focus on culture and belonging. Laura is currently Managing Director for Australia at Datacom, leading a business of over 2300 professionals. Previously she was the General Manager of Avanade Australia, after performing a variety of Avanade roles including Growth & Strategy Lead for Growth Markets (Australia, Japan, Greater China, South East Asia and Brazil), UK Digital Lead, UK and Ireland (UKI) Chief Operating Officer, Global Advisory Practice Lead and Australia Chief Technology Officer. During this period, Laura was also a Managing Director for Accenture, with Avanade an effective subsidiary. Prior to Avanade, Laura worked for several of the world’s largest technology and consulting organisations, including Oracle, Capgemini, IBM and EDS, as well as working for several smaller technology startups. Laura is originally from the UK but now considers Sydney home, where she lives with her husband and two children. She is a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity, who enjoys helping others to realise their goals and ambitions through inclusive leadership, mentoring, coaching and industry DEI engagement.
