Leah Barlow

Leah Barlow is a globally experienced and values-driven leader and currently the President of Safety (SHES), Discrete Manufacturing and Global Supply at Orica an ASX100 listed company. Leah is a key member of Orica’s Executive Committee (EXCO) and has worked with them for over 18 years, since starting as a graduate in 2004. Leah is responsible for end-to-end operations of our global discrete manufacturing network and developing and cascading the organisation’s SHES and Global Strategy for the organisation. Leah has played an instrumental role in the turnaround of the safety and operational culture and performance of the discrete manufacturing network, including leading the introduction and operational scale up of Orica’s premium Electronic (EBS) and Wireless (WebGen) Blasting Systems globally. Further to this, Leah is leading Orica’s Discrete Product Network Optimisation program, using lean principles to drive more value and efficiencies by truly leveraging our global network. Leah is a passionate people leader with extensive experience living and working on-the-ground in multiple continents. Her global experience has given her a strong appreciation for the value of diversity of thought and opinions, and she is an active promoter of diversity and inclusion (D&I) both in Orica and externally. Leah has a passion for learning, with a bachelor’s degree in both Chemical Engineering and Business from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne Australia. Leah also spent 10 years in heavy chemical manufacturing, in key operational leadership roles at our Yarwun Continuous Manufacturing Facility
