Linda Ellis

Linda was educated at Abbotsleigh and The University of Sydney, graduating with BEc and LLB (Hons I). She worked in corporate advisory and mergers & acquisitions in leading law firms in Sydney and London before moving into a senior executive role at Steadfast Group Limited (ASX100). Linda joined Steadfast before its IPO in 2013 and has greatly enjoyed contributing as part of a team to the success of a business which has produced huge growth and financial success. As well as contributing in legal advice, mergers & acquisitions, capital raisings and debt financing, Linda has relished the opportunities afforded to her at Steadfast in the areas of governance and ESG for which she is the executive responsible under the business’ strategic plan. Linda has embraced opportunities to make a measurable difference in areas such as empowering women at Steadfast (through formal and informal mentoring and leadership programs), reducing carbon footprint and enhancing sustainability at Steadfast, and driving better social outcomes within her spere of influence for Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander peoples including being the executive responsible for Steadfast’s RAP for three years. Linda is a National Ambassador for Heads over Heels, a not-for-profit supporting female entrepreneurs, and has served on its board and advisory council. She is currently on a leave of absence from serving on the Council of Abbotsleigh, one of Australia’s leading schools for girls, and expects to re-join that Council in April 2023. Linda regularly judges annual insurance industry awards. She is actively involved in her local church and is raising three teenage sons.
