    Linda O'Farrell was appointed to Fortescue Metals Group, an ASX50 publicly listed company, in 2013 as Group Manager Fortescue People, joining the executive team in 2014. With over 20 years of experience in the West Australian resources sector, Linda has held executive roles for leading companies including BHP Billiton Iron Ore and Mount Gibson Iron. Linda holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours in Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia. Linda has championed women's growth and development in the resources sector, by implementing practical strategies to build talent pools, provide childcare options, mentoring and leadership development. Linda was announced as the 2015 Women in Resources Champion.
