Lisa Fraser
I am a result driven CFO with over 30 years experience in financial services including asset management, fund operations, infrastructure and real assets, specialist advisory, capital raising and principal investment, retail and business banking, wealth management, leasing and asset financing. With a depth of experience establishing and leading high performing global finance teams, the development and growth of my teams sits at the forefront of my mind, focusing on a collaborative style and fostering cross-functional partnerships. Working in an agile manner, my decision-making drives transformative change across the organisations I have worked within. In my work I focus on equipping others with a strategic mindset to navigate complex market landscapes - to optimise financial performance, operating efficiency and drive sustainable growth. Joining Macquarie in 1993, I have contributed more than 30 years leading the growth of Macquarie’s Finance teams across several business units and served as Macquarie’s Head of Finance on a global scale. I am currently the CFO for the Banking and Financial Services business of Macquarie Group. Prior to this, I was Macquarie Group’s dedicated executive sponsor for a major technology program replacing a legacy general ledger with a cloud based SaaS platform. With an implementation period spanning just over 2.5 years, we were the first financial services organisation with our footprint to introduce a global cloud-based financial reporting system of this scale. Throughout my time at Macquarie, I have been an ambassador for flexibility, working part-time for a period while raising a family. Prior to my time at Macquarie, I worked at KPMG where I began my career as a graduate in 1989, working in its audit practice in Sydney, auditing companies from a range of industries, including manufacturing, travel and financial services.
