Liz O'Brien

Liz is a partner with more than 20 years of experience as auditor and advisor for the financial services sector with PwC. This has included 4 years in our Banking and Capital Markets practice in New York, and a number of shorter term assignments in the UK, India and across Asia. In this time Liz has worked across a variety of multinational banks, investment banks, securities companies and fund managers. Liz has an open and collaborative style and provides constructive, frank and independent points of views to boards and management. Liz is focussed on building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing on-going insight to Board and Audit Committees, with a focus on providing support and advice which is commercial, practical and helps organisations achieve their strategic goals. Experience that Liz brings Liz has worked on some of PwC’s largest and most complex global banking clients. This includes extensive experience auditing global and local banks with complex systems, processes and controls (including 10 years on an SEC registrant both on the head office engagement and the Australian subsidiary). Liz is focussed on providing a high quality audit (requiring significant global coordination) as well as sharing observations and insights that are relevant and add value for her clients. In addition to her lead audit partner roles, she also acts as the Quality Review Partner on a number of our listed audit clients. Liz has a strong global network having worked in the US and on global engagements (with significant UK and Asian operations) that she leverages to bring the best of what we see globally to Australia.
