Lynne Lewis

Lynne is a leader in the Australian legal sector, having been a senior partner at top-tier and international law firms for 17 years and currently an ASX level non-executive director. She developed a leading IP and Life Sciences practice, serving esteemed clients such as Qantas, AMEX, DXC, AMP, GSK, Optus, Mattel, THE ICONIC; Metso Minerals; Westpac, Specsavers as well as domestic and international government. While a Partner of MinterEllison, Lynne held significant leadership positions, including Head of the National Intellectual Property Group and member of the National Partnership Selection Committee. Joining Bird & Bird in 2017, Lynne played a pivotal leadership role as Head of the National Retail & Consumer Group; member of the Global Trademark Operations Committee; D& I Partner and Risk & Ethics Partner for the Australian office, reporting to the Global CEO and General Counsel. Lynne’s standing in the legal community has been widely recognised, including as ‘Life Sciences Lawyer of the Year, Women in Business, Asia 2021’. In 2024, Lynne commenced NED career and is currently on the Board of Kip McGrath Education (ASX:KME), Chair of Remuneration Committee, and Member of Audit & Risk Committee. Lynne is an Independent Member of the Risk Committee of Lutheran Homes Group and the Principal of a legal consulting business. Lynne has been a champion for women in the legal sector, actively mentoring those within and beyond her own firms; being committed to gender equality in the workplace and advocating for Equality in Briefing of legal counsel.
