Lynwen Connick
As Global Chief Information Security Officer for ANZ Bank, Lynwen drives the enterprise information security strategy to ensure it evolves with the changing cyber security threat, regulatory and technology landscape, and enables the bank’s digital transformation. She is also responsible for Cyber Security Operations, information protection services, security advisory services, security architecture, security policy and standards and ANZ’s security education program In addition, Lynwen helps to coordinate the many parts of the organisation that provide additional services, which also contribute significantly to ANZ’s security, ensuring the protection of customers, infrastructure and data. Her role ensures the protection of around 10 million individual and business customers and operations in more than 30 markets. Prior to joining ANZ in March 2017, Lynwen worked at the federal department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet from 2013, where she led the review of Australia’s cyber security and the development of a new National Cyber Security Strategy, launched by the then Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in April 2016. Before joining the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Lynwen worked at the Department of Defence including as the Chief Information Security Office. Lynwen worked for 27 years at the Australian Signals Directorate, where her most recent appointment was as a Deputy Director of the agency and First Assistant Secretary responsible for Capability. She has a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science Major) from the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
