Marguerite Fitzgerald

Marguerite Fitzgerald now leads Australia's largest cruise organisation after beginning her new role on January 10, 2022, as President of Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises Australia, which is renowned as the home grown cruise line having operated from Australia for nearly 90 years. She is a trusted global authority in the travel and tourism industry with extensive expertise in the worldwide cruise passenger market. She has two decades of strategy and operational experience, most recently serving as the lead for Boston Consulting Group's (BCG) global lodging and leisure practice, as well as its global strategy business.Prior to her time with BCG, Fitzgerald worked for several years in the Australian power industry.Fitzgerald earned a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and electrical engineering from the University of Melbourne. She is a published author and was a leading contributor to BCG’s Travel Insights Portal.An Australian citizen, Marguerite was most recently living in Miami in the US for over a decade and has also lived in France and the UK. She is passionate about travel and the power it has to shift perspectives and create connections.
