Maria Stamoulis

Maria Stamoulis was appointed General Manager HR Operations in January 2016. Maria is an energetic Human Resources leader with over 20 years’ experience across the broad, generalist disciplines of Human Resources including Strategy, Talent, Recruitment, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, Change Management, Learning & Development, HR analytics and Health & Safety in FMCG, Retail and the Property industries.Maria joined Scentre Group (previously Westfield) in February 2012 as the National Talent Manager to evolve the newly created Talent function inhouse. In October 2012 she was appointed to Head of Human Resources Operations incorporating all operating teams across Australia and NZ. In this role she established the People Champs network to support the SCG leader-led HR model and expand the human resources capability across the business. In 2016, Maria was appointed to GM HR Operations for the Australia and NZ regions of Scentre Group.She’s been the leading advocate for gender equity internally and with the PCA COC coalition and has led the GE work group to deliver initiatives that have ensured we continue to make progress with females in leadership roles more prevalent than ever. She’s reshaping our approach to talent acquisition and retention and has started reshaping the HR team capability to ensure we are set up for the future and can support business leaders to deliver their plans.Maria has a Bachelor of Economics/HRM & Industrial Relations.Prior to joining Scentre Group, Maria held senior HR leadership roles with Woolworths, Metcash, The Just Group, Jetset Travel World and The Star.
