Marion Fulker

MARION FULKER AM is recognised internationally as a leading expert in the future development of cities.

She is the former CEO of WA’s leading independent think tank – the Committee for Perth. Marion is the Chair of Perth Zoo and an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Western Australia. She has an MBA from Curtin University and an MSc in Cities from London School of Economics and Politics.

Marion has researched almost 40 cities to examine her areas of interest. She has also acted as Project Director for a number of research projects to understand Greater Perth’s opportunities and challenges including landmark gender equality report 'Filling the Pool' which outlined ways in which government, corporations and their leaders along with women could increase women participation and progression rates in corporate life.

Marion was awarded an AM in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours for significant services to urban planning and infrastructure development. Further recognition of Marion’s accomplishments include induction into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame, named as WA Telstra Business Woman of the Year (For Purpose) and as one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence.
