Martine Jager

Martine Jager
Martine Jager is a senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience across operational, strategic, financial and large people leadership roles. She has worked with some of the top brands in Australia and New Zealand across the financial services, media and airline sectors. In her current role as CEO of ME Bank & Group Executive Retail Banking for Bank of Queensland, Martine has responsibility for all aspects of retail banking including branch, product, operations, contact centre and third-party broking. Martine’s role also includes leading the marketing function across the Group and as CEO ME Bank; she plays a pivotal change role following ME Bank’s acquisition in 2021. Prior to joining the BOQ Group, Martine was the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer for the Westpac Group where she was responsible for delivering differentiated and digitally enabled customer experience across multiple brands. During her time at Westpac, Martine was CEO of RAMS Financial Group from 2012 to 2016, shortlisted for Women of Influence in 2016 and named the CEO’s General Manager of the Year in 2017. Throughout her career, Martine has been a key contributor at CEO and Board of Directors level and is sought after for her ability to develop, understand and drive key strategic imperatives while forging a reputation as a strong advocate for the customer. She has managed franchise networks in two of her roles and is highly regarded by the franchisees as an ally who acutely understands their needs as business owners whilst driving the performance of the system. Martine is a current board member of Australian Association of National Advertisers and has served as a board member for the Global Financial Alliance for Women and as a Governor of the St George Foundation, which helps support charities that look after disadvantaged children in Australia. Martine is passionate about customers, communities and people, and has the belief that when we get it right, we have the potential to help positively change people’s lives. She lives in a world of possibility, and by the guiding principle that putting what is right for the customer first allows the best solutions to come to the surface.
