Mary Waldron was PwC's Global Chief Risk Officer (2016-2021) responsible for leading the response to network opportunities in a strategic, dynamic and commercially focussed manner. She was responsible for Network and Global risk management from a strategic, operational and client perspective, and oversight of risk governance, strategy and compliance across the Network. Mary was a member of the Australian firm's leadership team since joining PwC in 2007, most recently as Managing Partner for Reputation, Regulation & Risk, and formerly as Managing Partner for Networks, and Managing Partner for Strategic Marketing and Communications. She was also the Risk & Quality leader for PwC's Asia Pacific Network of Firms. Mary has almost 30 years' experience in providing audit assurance and advisory services and advice to some of Australia's largest listed national and multinational public companies, CEO's and Director's. Mary joined PwC Australia in 2007 from Ernst & Young in Melbourne where she held the role of Melbourne Managing Partner between 2004 & 2006, and was a member of the Board from 2005 to 2006. Before joining Ernst & Young, Mary had been a partner with Arthur Andersen where she started her career in 1988 (in Dublin).
