Megan Motto
A proven leader, and seasoned CEO with extensive experience in leadership, strategy, and governance, specialising in transforming organisations for modern, sustainable success.
Currently Chief Executive Officer of Governance Institute of Australia; a national membership association, Institute of Higher Education and leading authority on governance and risk management advocating for a community of 40,000 professionals.
Megan is also an experienced Non-Executive Director, having recently served on the boards of Standards Australia and CEDA (the Committee for Economic Development of Australia).
A passionate advocate for better public policy, Megan is a long-serving Councillor of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she currently Chairs the Digital, Data and Security Forum.
Prior to Governance Institute of Australia, Megan was the CEO of Consult Australia; the association for professional services firms within the built and natural environment. She is also a former Councillor/VP/Treasurer of ASBEC (Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council), and former Director of ACIF (Australian Construction Industry Forum).
In addition to her double teaching degree (BABEd), Masters in Communication Management, and Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Managment, Megan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a member of Chief Executive Women and Women on Boards. Megan is also a Justice of the Peace.
