meghan quinn

Meghan has been Secretary (CEO/Chair) of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources since August 2022. This department has a wide range of responsibilities across policy development, service delivery and regulation.
Before joining the Department, Meghan gained extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, holding positions at Treasury, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Bank of England, and BHP.
Throughout her career she has provided advice on a wide range of policy areas including financial markets, superannuation, corporate governance, international relations, structural reform, industry policy, macroeconomics, climate change mitigation, forecasting and modelling.
In 2009, Meghan was awarded a Public Service Medal for outstanding public service in the development of climate change policy. She has a Master of Economics from the London School of Economics and Bachelor of Economics (First Class) from the University of Western Australia.
Meghan collaborates with industry and the public sector on portfolio issues. She serves on the Secretary's Board, setting the strategic direction for the public service. Meghan is an ex-officio board member for ANSTO, CSIRO, and Industry Innovation and Science Australia, and observes the Prime Minister's National Science and Technology Council.
