Miriam Stanborough

I am a chemical engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the minerals processing industry. The first 10 years of my career were spent in technical and frontline management roles on mine sites and in chemical processing plants, followed by a series of corporate roles across a variety of disciplines including technical development, project management, business improvement, HR & diversity strategy, sales & marketing, and innovation & technology. Concurrently with my mining career, I have served on NFP and government boards for over 20 years. Three years ago I transitioned to a full-time NED portfolio, and I now serve on the boards of three ASX-listed mining companies, and two statutory authorities. I am Chief Operating Officer of a contract automation and data start-up company, working to assetise commercial and consumer data using live contracts and a registry, to allow enterprise and individual users to trade their data at scale. I also run a beef cattle breeding operation with my husband.
