"With an executive career spanning 25 years, MJ brings deep expertise in business and people strategy, corporate affairs (reputation, stakeholder, and risk management), marketing, and sustainability. Her experience spans highly regulated and competitive industries including financial services, mining, construction, and industrial manufacturing. Prior to joining RACQ, MJ was the Chief Development Officer at BESIX Watpac. Today she is the Chief Purpose Officer at RACQ, Australia’s most trusted brand. She leads a diverse portfolio spanning strategy, people and culture, advocacy, sustainability, communications, marketing, member engagement and loyalty, and RACQ’s Foundation and community program. Her purpose-led team is proud to serve ~1.8 million members making a positive difference in their lives. Career highlights include: • Developing and implementing industry leading tendering processes in construction and mining resulting in more than $22bn on new work • Launched a successful start-up in fire protection which was later sold to private equity • Recipient of the NAWIC Award for Achievement as a Business Woman Over the past 10 years MJ has also focused on building her Board experience. She is currently a non-executive director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. The largest arts company in Queensland and will soon join the Circa Board, Australia’s leading contemporary circus company with performances around the world. MJ studied International Marketing at Stanford University, completed an MBA from the University of Queensland and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is an Industry Fellow and guest lecturer at the University of Queensland and a director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra."
