Nicole Sorbara

Nicole is Chief Operating Officer of Macquarie Group and a member of the Executive Committee and was appointed to these roles in January 2013. She leads the Corporate Operations Group (Technology, Market Operations, Human Resources, Business Services, Business Improvement and Strategy divisions and Shared Service Centres). Nicole joined Macquarie in 1996 and was responsible for the accounting of the Macquarie Capital Group. From 1998, she led the Deal Management and Business Management teams and managed a sales team in Macquarie Capital. Prior to joining Macquarie, Nicole spent seven years at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in the audit division. Nicole was promoted to Executive Director in 2008 and moved into the role of Global Head of Human Resources and the Operational Risk Team. In December 2011, Nicole was promoted to Group Head of the Corporate Services Division (Human Resources, Business Services and Business Improvement & Strategy).
