Nicole Stoddart

Nicole Stoddart is an Executive with almost 30 years’ experience in delivering large scale complex engineering and construction projects. She is a Chartered Engineer, Commercial builder and a graduate of the Company Directors. Nicole has worked for major construction contractors, built up a consulting business within AECOM, developed and delivered projects for Government, and most recently joined Transurban, a global transportation company building and operating toll roads, as Group Executive Delivery and Risk (reporting to the CEO). She is passionate about delivering city shaping infrastructure to improve connectivity to essential services, education and employment for the benefit of communities. In her current role, Nicole oversees Transurban’s portfolio of major projects across Australia and the US, including Westgate Tunnel, M7/M12 integration project, Northern Expressway and all capital maintenance projects. She also leads the Health, Safety, Environment, Risk and Compliance functions for the Group and is a Transurban Director on the Sydney Transport Planners Board (WestConnex). Nicole is well connected into Government and industry through her past and present roles, active market engagement, mentoring, networking, keynote speaking, industry participation and support including advocacy and policy making. Her experience spans sectors including Roads, Rail, Aviation, Corrections, Commercial Building, Water, Defence, Energy and Health and she is proficient in a broad range of contract models including PPPs. Her international perspective has been developed working for construction companies across Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand and the UK, and more recently with her leadership and oversight of Transurban’s Delivery and Risk which extends to the US.
