Members Directory
CEW members are leaders across diverse sectors in Australia, including government, business, sport, academia, the arts, and the not-for-profit sector.
Our members share a unifying goal: to remove systemic barriers and create pipelines that enable Australian women to rise to leadership positions in their communities. This ensures a diversity of women's voices at every decision-making table while supporting both women and men to thrive—at work and home.
Dr Niki Vincent
Out of home at 15, married at 18, and a mother of four by 25, I have strived through adversity and opportunity to become an experienced organisational and community leader and a skilled public speaker, writer, leadership developer, and influencer.
I currently serve as Victoria’s inaugural Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner, with responsibility for implementation of the ground-breaking Gender Equality Act 2020. As such, I play a key leadership role in promoting gender equality in Victoria and across Australia. I also serve on the boards of the Centre for Workplace Excellence and inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence. I’m an adjunct Associate Professor in UniSA’s Business and Law School.
Prior to this, I was the SA Commissioner for Equal Opportunity and chaired the Australian Council of Human Rights Authorities, and SA Chiefs for Gender Equity. I also served on the boards of Play by the Rules (national) the Committee for Economic Development of Australia and Time for Kids (SA). Earlier key roles include establishing the Leader’s Institute of SA and Membership of the SA Remuneration Tribunal. I have also led major programs of public health research in SA, NSW and internationally.
I’ve been honoured to receive some prestigious awards in addition to two University Medals (Honours and PhD). This includes being a Telstra Business Woman of the Year Finalist, and receiving an Australian Leadership Award.
I am a parent of seven young adults (including two step-, and one foster-child). I relish time in nature, seeing films, reading, and entertaining.
