Pam Bains

Pam Bains was appointed CFO and Group Executive, Strategy of Aurizon, an ASX50 company, in July 2017. Prior to this appointment, Pam held the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Network Finance. In her current role, Pam is responsible for the central finance functions including finance partnering, tax, investor relations and treasury. Strategy also sits under Pam's portfolio, giving her responsibility for central control of key long-term value levers such as enterprise targets and valuation. Pam has been with Aurizon since 2010, and has held various senior management roles at the company. She played a key role during Aurizon Holdings' initial public offering and listing on the ASX, capital restructuring and separation of Aurizon's Network business, as well as support for various regulatory reforms which have improved the financial performance of Aurizon's Network business. Pam has broad experience in finance and leadership roles in both Australia and globally over the past 25 years. Prior to joining Aurizon, Pam was the Head of Finance, Customer Service at Telefonica O2 UK ‚Äö?Ñ?Æa subsidiary of one of the largest global integrated broadband and telecommunications providers. She has also held senior management roles at Next PLC, General Electric and Arthur Andersen.
