Racheal Kellaway

Racheal Kellaway is a passionate finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in banking. During that time she has cultivated a deep understanding of the Australian and international finance sector having worked across large investment banks, retail and commercial banks through to a small regional credit union. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Bank of Queensland Group, an ASX listed top 100 company, and the first female to hold that position in its 149-year history. As CFO, Racheal is accountable for Treasury, Investor Relations, financial and management reporting, capital management, tax, regulatory reporting, business advisory and investment decisions. She is a core member of the Executive Committee and plays a key role in strategic decision-making for the Group’s 4000 plus staff, customers and Owner Managers. In addition, Racheal is the Executive Sponsor for the Group’s Gender Diversity affinity group and plays a leading role in mentoring women within and outside the Group. Before joining BOQ Group, Racheal spent a decade working for the Commonwealth Bank in various Group Finance, Business Banking, Private Banking, CommSec and Retail Bank roles. In her early career Racheal was a Management Consultant, worked at UBS Investment Bank in London, and commenced her working life as a trainee in a Credit Union. Racheal holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a qualified accountant and a graduate of the Australian Company of Directors. She is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Barnardos and a Member of the Finance and Risk Committee at The Australian Banking Association.
