Rebecca Fox
Rebecca is the Secretary of the Department of Regional NSW. She joined the NSW Government in 2015, starting with Property NSW’s Strategy team and becoming the first female leader of NSW Public Works in 2018. She was then appointed Deputy Secretary in the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and moved to lead the newly formed Strategy, Delivery & Performance Group on the creation of the Department of Regional NSW in 2020. At the end of 2020 Rebecca led a major procurement reform initiative in NSW Treasury and returned to Regional NSW to establish and lead the Regional Precincts Group (which includes the Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation) responsible for the $4.2 billion Snowy Hydro Legacy Fund. Hailing from Condobolin, her rural background is also valuable in her Regional NSW role. Rebecca is a commercially astute and inspirational leader with extensive experience operating across government. With academic qualifications in Economics, Law and Bioethics, Rebecca has a diverse background covering first tier corporate environments, small business and the public sector. She is an authentic communicator with demonstrated credibility in problem solving and driving transformation through strategic collaboration.
