Rebecca Tomkinson is currently transitioning from the role as Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) to CEO of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy in WA. As RFDS WA CEO, Rebecca has been accountable for the sustainability and success of an iconic WA organisation that currently flies to the assistance of around 27 patients each day and provides life-saving aero medical and primary health services to approximately 20,000 patients each year in Western Australia. Rebecca brings a highly strategic, broad sector lens and strong executive experience to her executive and non-executive roles. Her professional contributions include leading transformational change, building sustainable business models, government relations, strategic policy development and stakeholder engagement. Rebecca holds advisory roles across a number of sectors and is deeply committed to the development of regional Western Australia – where she was raised and educated. Rebecca is actively involved in building community and business capability, particularly in regional WA. She chairs the Regional Development Council and the Wheatbelt Development Commission, serves on the Board of Infrastructure WA and is WA President of the CEDA State Advisory Board. She holds qualifications in community development, public policy and social impact.
