Renee Howie

A seasoned executive leader responsible for large, complex commercial Marketing and Analytical businesses across financial services organisations within Asia Pacific. Renee has had a twenty-year career building some of Australia’s strongest Financial Services brands, in both corporate and consumer audiences. Renee carries a long history in building and transforming Digital, Marketing and Operations Divisions to be digitally led and customer centred, whilst delivering impactful omnichannel experiences that drive financial outcomes. Originally starting her career with Macquarie Group, she spent close to a decade marketing Macquarie’s investment business across a wide range of domestic and international audiences, from consumers to international institutional investors. This provided a trajectory for future roles within Asia, where she led geographically and culturally diverse marketing functions across Asia Pacific for multinational investment organisations, including BlackRock and Investec. Returning to Australia, Renee built the institutional marketing and communications function for the CBA Group, broadening into eventually leading all non-consumer Brand, Marketing and Communication businesses. From here, she took on the role of Chief Operating Officer for CBA’s International organisation, responsible for leading operations for the Corporate and Institutional Banks across 9 international jurisdictions. Renee is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for AMP, leading the Brand, Marketing, Digital and Data businesses for the Group. Personally, Renee is an avid participant, supporter and voice for women in sport and women driving the future of Sport in Australia. She is vocal and present in enabling adult women to participate in team sports for their mental, social and physical wellbeing.
