Rianne van Veldhuizen

Rianne Van Veldhuizen is the Managing Director of Commercial Sales for Amazon Web Services in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, she leads the team responsible for helping organizations across Australia and New Zealand accelerate their digital transformation, transform their operations, and drive innovation through cloud technology. Her team's ambition is to drive business transformation to unlock innovation and economic value for a smarter, safer, and more sustainable future across Australia and New Zealand. AWS services are trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers in Australia and New Zealand – from the fastest-growing startups to the largest enterprises and government agencies of all sizes. Prior to AWS, Rianne held several executive positions at IBM across Europe and Asia Pacific. Most recently, as Chief Digital Officer and Vice President of Digital Sales & Commercial for IBM Asia Pacific, she led operations from Singapore. Earlier in her career at IBM, she progressed through various leadership roles including Director of Cloud & Cognitive Software for Benelux, and Global Client Executive for Royal Philips Electronics. Rianne holds a Master's degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor's in Marketing & Communications from Hanzehogeschool Groningen. She has completed executive education at INSEAD and London Business School. Rianne lives in Sydney, is married, and is mother to three sons.
