Mining Executive with extensive experience in senior roles within some of the largest resource and consulting organisations in Australia. A successful career with diverse experience including delivering technical mining projects from conceptual design to project handover as well as operations management experience at senior site level. Proponent for the mining industry, with an emphasis on advocating for and supporting women in male dominated workplaces, highlighting the benefits of workplace diversity, and promoting STEM education. Community minded with long involvement in a variety of NFP organisations. Keen participant in a number of state and national industry reference and working groups. Qualifications include an MBA from UWA, a degree from WA School of Mines and a WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency. Founder and Chair of the very active Women in Mining and Resources WA group which has grown to 3000 members since inception in 2003. Awarded the inaugural Women in Resources Champion in 2010 in the CMEWA Women in Resources Awards for being an outstanding role model to people in the resources industry and the broader community. Included in the first 100 women in the WA Women’s Hall of Fame in 2011. Named in the AFR Westpac 100 Women of Influence and the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining in 2013. Named a Member of the General Division of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2015 for significant service to the mining industry through executive roles in the resources sector, and as a role model and mentor to women.
