Sam Andersen

Sam Andersen
An experienced non-executive director with a diverse portfolio of roles across infrastructure, financial services, technology, agriculture, sustainability and government services. Her portfolio includes large private infrastructure investments with a technology transformation focus. Her experience is founded on senior executive and C-Suite roles in financial services, technology, health services and start up companies. Sam’s operational industry experience covers financial services, digital technologies, healthcare, biotechnology, funds management, transport and agribusiness. Sam has highly developed skills in strategic planning and financial modelling, business development and acquisitions, operational effectiveness and integration, funding and capital raising, finance, audit and risk management. Prior to embarking on a full time non-executive director career, Sam was Managing Director of an ASX listed roll up of allied health services business. Earlier, she was CFO, Company Secretary and General Counsel for several listed technology companies. Sam’s career in industry came after 18 years in banking and finance, primarily in corporate banking and corporate finance, for major trading banks. A significant portion of her career entailed the management and restructuring of large corporate distressed debt. She is an active member of women’s networking groups and supports women’s initiatives at SERV and Beyond Bank Australia as well as informal mentoring and support for aspiring female executives. She has a keen interest in sustainability and government sustainability polices as they intersect with private industry where the policies must be delivered and plays an active role in packaging sustainability through the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation.
