Sam is an experienced Non-Executive Director, Chair, former CEO and commercial lawyer, with a particular focus on highly regulated infrastructure, logistics, financial services, health and education industries. Sam is a Forbes Thought Leader, a Professor of Practice at the University of Newcastle and a former Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award winner. She is a lead mentor for the global Mentor Walks program. Sam is a Chair (elect) and Director and Chair of the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee at NGM Group Australia, one of Australia's largest mutual, multi-brand banks. Sam is on the Board of Fishburners, Australia’s largest technology start-up community.Sam is the Deputy Chair at Newcastle Airport Ltd and Vice Chair of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia Board (SCLAA). As a former CEO, Sam brings strong commercial acumen in the areas of business transformation including new and emerging technologies, execution of strategy and fostering partnerships. Sam is a Fellow and Councillor of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and has a Master of Commercial Law, a Master of Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Business degree.
