Sandra Gamble

With a background in engineering, regulation and government, I have worked across the public, private and for-purpose sectors as board member, senior executive and consultant. Currently, I am the Independent Chair of Marinus Link Pty Ltd, the company that will build, own, and operate a new $4B HVDC transmission link between Tasmania and Victoria. I am also a Board Member of EnergyCo whose role it is to maximise the opportunities created by the transformation of the New South Wales electricity system by coordinating investment in renewable energy zones. Previously, I was a Tribunal Member with the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, and the Chair of its Electricity Networks Regulation Committee and its Energy Savings Scheme Committee. At the Electricity Authority, New Zealand’s electricity market regulator, Sandra was a Board Member and Chair of its System Operations Committee. Prior to that, I held senior executive roles with Jemena Limited and Sydney Water, and advised extensively on HVDC interconnectors Murraylink and Directlink. I sit on advisory boards for Sprint Venture Capital, the Institute for Science on Global Policy, and the Advisory Board Centre, and is a Divisional Councillor with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I hold a Master of Business Administration (Technology Management) and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Honours, and am a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. On a lighter side, I love spending time outside with her granddaughter and my handsome chickens who lay colourful eggs.
