Sangeeta Venkatesan

Sangeeta Venkatesan an experienced Chair, Board Member, Investment Committee Member and former CEO in high growth and regulated industries including financial services, health services, and technology. Currently, she is Chair of RSL LifeCare, and Non-executive Director at Mercer Investments (part of the NYSE listed Marsh McLennan Companies), SW Accountants & Advisors, and Chief Executive Women (CEW). Sangeeta’s experience spans the globe, having worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, New York, London before moving to Australia 14 years ago. She has worked with for some of the largest institutions in the globe including KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, treasury and investment management, enterprise transformation and digital customer engagement, and co-founded a fintech in the wealth and retirement sector. She is a strong advocate for cognitive diversity and is often requested to speak at global forums. She was most recently the President and Non-executive director at Women in Banking and Finance where she served for seven years driving the DEI agenda for the Australian financial services sector, including mentoring many young women. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants of India and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Graduate of AICD, member of CEW, and Young President’s Organisation, and currently pursuing the President’s Programme at Harvard Business School, specialising in Artificial Intelligence application and board governance.
